Do I need an account to use Hexer?
No! You can start mapping immediately as a guest. Your map is saved locally in your browser. Create an account when you want to save to the cloud, access your maps from anywhere, or share with players.
What's included in the free tier?
The free tier includes all 35 terrain types, 18 hex features (settlements, dungeons, sacred sites), procedural world generation, all export formats (PNG, SVG, Foundry VTT, JSON), paths, regions, DM notes, live sharing with party marker, and basic travel routing. You get 1 saved map up to 20×15 hexes. Pro adds 55+ premium hex features, 10 Underdark terrain types, Underdark layers, Fog of War, cave generation, travel heatmaps, unlimited maps, and maps up to 200×200.
Can my players see the map in real time?
Yes! Share a live link and your players see fog of war updates, their party marker position, and any terrain you reveal — all in real time. They don't need an account.
Does Hexer work with Foundry VTT?
Yes. Export your map as a Universal VTT file and import it directly into Foundry VTT as a scene. You can also export as PNG or SVG for any other VTT.
Can I cancel my Pro subscription anytime?
Absolutely. Cancel anytime from your account settings. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your billing period, and your maps are always exportable.
